The Benefits of Jasmine Green Tea
Previously we have written about the benefits of Ashwagandha. Today we will shift our focus a little bit and concentrate on some of the health benefits of the jasmine green tea. First, let it be known that the jasmine green tea is green tea that has been scented by jasmine flower. The scent of the jasmine flower is what gives the Jasmine Green Tea its unique aroma.
The aroma of the Jasmine Green Tea has been known to reduce stress. A study done by the Kyoto University in 2005 concluded that: “…the low intensity of jasmine tea odor has sedative effects on both autonomic nerve activity and mood states.” Studies have also shown that the odor of the jasmine flower is very beneficial and relaxing because it causes the body to release chemicals to relax the mind and body.
Green tea contains very high levels of antioxidants that are a natural defense to free radicals. According to scientists at the University of Maryland Medical Center: “antioxidants attack the free radicals that occur in our bodies both naturally and through exposure to environmental toxins, like UV rays from the sun and cigarette smoke.” This is due to the antioxidants found in the tea and research studies suggest that consumption of tea, such as jasmine tea, may help in preventing cancer.
Furthermore, Jasmine Green Tea strengthens our immune system. According to Organic Facts: “many forms of cancer and carcinogenic diseases can have an immunosuppressive effect, meaning that the body’s overall immune system is compromised, making the body vulnerable to many other pathogens that complicate the treatment of cancer.” Due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, Jasmine tea has been shown to protect the immune systems of frequent users. The immune system is the first line of defense against all types of illnesses; therefore reinforcing that system can benefit the body.
Jasmine Green Tea, along with other green teas, is an incredibly important tea that should be added to our diet.
